I co-founded a startup with two partners that help brands discover each other for marketing collaborations. I design and built the product entirely using Lovable and Claude Code.
The problem
My partners - both marketers - spotted a problem in the marketing world today. Many organizations struggle to access brand partnerships because they lack resources and established best practices. One of the biggest hurdles is simply finding and reaching the right partners. And once contact is made, the conversation often stalls at vague “let’s collab” language instead of clear expressions of objectives, a shared sense of value, and measurable outcomes.

The approach
In order to launch an MVP in a month, I took on the role of sole product manager, designer, and engineer (thanks to AI-assisted coding). We had weekly rituals, from iterating on early wireframe builds to dialing in the brand and details, and doing live research with potential customers. In parallel, we developed the brand and gathered a waitlist of several hundred of people that became real (paid) user testers we could get realtime feedback from.

Our members fill out profiles that help others understand their asks, offers, and brand attirbutes to find a match. We also use AI to supplement what they provide for industry insights that make our search and matchmaking algorithms more powerful.

Streamlining operations
I built robust admin tooling to keep the business glancable for my non-technical co-founders. Bug triaging, waitlist management, analytics are all baked directly into the UI for users with admin roles.

Evolving the brand while defining the product is always a challenge. We aimed for a human, warmly retro feel leaning into the matchmaking concept.

The outcome
MTCHMKR is live and in Beta. We have active users engaging with the product. I handed the product off to my non-technical co-founders, who continue to evolve the product and I remain an advisor. I also brought on a fraction product leader to help the product continue to scale.
